Happy New Year. It is 2020, the long-awaited year and the start of a new decade. Board Game Presh is ready to break more records and has reviewed her first games of the year – ‘Patch Work’.
Precious Wonah aka Board Game Presh made headlines in December, 2019 for being the first known Nigerian to have played over 100 board games. Can you beat that?
So, what is ‘Patch Work’ about? We summarized below.
Game name: Patchwork
Designer: Uwe Rosenberg
No. Of players: 2
Playing time: 30 mins
Age range: 8+
Just as the name implies, it is a form of art where pieces of fabric are sewn together to form a larger design.
In the game, players compete to create a beautiful quilt using a quilt board, patch tiles and button tiles as currency. Choose your patch carefully so that they can fit properly on your quilt board, for every space you can’t fill, will earn you minus 2 points at the end of the game. The player with the most buttons at the end of the game wins.
